The Hangzhou Bay Bridge is the 3rd longest bridge in the world's longest bridge over water and bridges Trans-sea world's longest length of 22.17 kilometers.
Construction of this bridge started on June 8, 2003 and was completed on June 14, 2007. The ceremony was attended by 26 June 2007 although the bridge was not officially opened to the public until May 1, 2008. This is the longest bridge in China and built to last at least 100 years.
